The order leaves with the waiter still at the table.

The Captain App puts DINO in the waiter’s hand - orders taken at the table fire straight to the kitchen as KOTs, tables stay managed course by course, and second rounds are a tap away.

Functionality

What the Captain App does

01

Orders taken at the table

The waiter takes the order on a handheld, item by item, while talking to the guest - no notepad, no walk to a terminal.

02

KOTs fired instantly

The moment an order is confirmed, it lands in the kitchen as a KOT - routed to the right station, on the KDS if screens are running. Explore →

03

Table management in hand

Open a table, see its order, track its courses and settle it - every waiter carries the state of their section.

04

Additional KOTs, mid-meal

Another round of drinks or a second course fires as an additional KOT on the same table and the same bill - nothing gets re-entered.

05

Order status at a glance

What’s placed, what’s being prepared, what’s marked ready - the waiter knows without walking to the pass. Explore →

06

The order becomes the bill

Everything taken on the Captain App is already the bill - settle at the table or at the counter, with nothing to reconcile. Explore →

Outcomes

What changes on the floor

Kitchen trips disappear

The order travels as data, not on foot - waiters cover more tables in the same shift.

More covers per waiter.

Misheard orders vanish

What the guest said is what the kitchen reads - no handwriting, no relay errors.

Taken once, taken right.

Food fires sooner

The KOT is cooking before the waiter has left the section - minutes saved on every order.

Faster fire.

Service stays on the floor

Waiters spend their shift with guests, not walking order slips - the part of service software can’t do.

Presence, not paperwork.

Questions, answered.

What is the Captain App?

A handheld app for waiters, part of DINO - NukkadShops’ F&B POS. It takes table orders at the tableside, fires them to the kitchen as KOTs, manages tables and generates additional KOTs through the meal.

What hardware does it run on?

Handheld Android devices - a phone or a dedicated handheld the waiter carries through the shift.

How does an order reach the kitchen?

Instantly, as a KOT - routed to the right kitchen station and visible on kitchen display screens (KDS) where they’re in use.

What happens when a table orders more mid-meal?

The waiter fires an additional KOT from the same table - the kitchen sees the new items and the bill stays one bill.

Does it handle table management?

Yes. Tables are opened, tracked and settled from the app - each waiter sees the live state of their section.

Does it work alongside QR ordering?

Yes. Captain App orders and customer QR orders land in the same kitchen queue and the same bill - two ways of taking the order, one system behind both.

See it working on a live counter.
